The history of the Taifun Music Corp. started in 1990, when Martin Lüthy, CEO of the company, organised his first concert in Reiden. Within a short spell, Martin became a successful start up entrepreneur. He continued constantly to enlarge his network of relationships and worked together with successful Swiss artists. The Swiss band Gotthard and the comedians Schmirinskis are just some of them. Already in 1992, Martin and his Team started to line up different tours within Switzerland. One year later in 1993, Martin found the Taifun Music Corp., an agency with its main focus in organising music, dance and comedy shows. What followed were different productions, management mandates for Swiss music acts like Florian Ast and Plüsch and the organisation of Taifun’s very first own festivals. Both, the Rock Sound Festival in Huttwil as well as the Heitere Comedy Open Air in Zofingen are well-established events in Switzerland up to this day. Furthermore, the Open Air Sursee (with Joe Cocker in 2010), the open air festivals Magic Night and Harley on Gotthard are fairly new and successful brands well respected in the music industry of Switzerland.

Today, Taifun Music is based in Sursee/Lucerne and employs nine members of staff. The agency arranges around 60 events annually and famous acts like Joe Jocker, Dee Purple, Krokus or Bligg count to them too.
